This web app version of the ASSIST tool was developed by the Division of Addiction Psychiatry within the UCT Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health, with funding from the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) through the South Africa ITTC programme.
The platform is currently hosted by ISSUP (the International Society of Substance Use Professionals), an international network that unites, connects, and shares knowledge across the substance use workforce.
